Godzilla – King of the Monsters is a sequel to Kong – Skull Island. Sort of. Skull Island is a likely setting for part of the activity that will happen in the MonsterVerse that is the fourth installment and the home of Kong. Directed by Jordan Vogt-Roberts. Production is underway on the sequel 'Godzilla vs. Kong' as the official synopsis and full cast are revealed, which includes Millie Bobby Brown and Alexander Skarsgard. Either way you cut it, though, Kong: Skull Island continues to sound intriguing; all the more so, given its ties to the Godzilla franchise (which is rumored to introduce even more famous Kaiju with the sequel arriving in 2018). Kong – Skull Island is the second movie in the Monsterverse. After the Vietnam war, a team of scientists explores an uncharted island in the Pacific, venturing into the domain of the mighty Kong, and must fight to escape a primal Eden. With Tom Hiddleston, Samuel L. Jackson, Brie Larson, John C. Reilly. For unknown reasons, Warner Brothers is not advertising the new movie as a sequel to Godzilla (2014), the first movie in the Monsterverse. This excitement is not at all surprising as it will be quite fun to watch the dominant predator, Godzilla, and the King of Skull Island, King Kong, together. Directed by Adam Wingard, this upcoming monster film us a sequel to “Godzilla: King of Monsters” (2019) and “Kong: Skull Island” (2017). A follow-up to a year ago’s King of the Monsters, Godzilla vs. Kong is likewise a continuation of 2014’s Godzilla and 2017’s Kong: Skull Island.
